A Brief history of Powerbocking

Super Bocking

Powerbocks are named after the person who holds the original patent (US Patent No. 6,719,671 B1) Alexander Boeck. Mister Boeck was granted a patent for his design of a jumping boot with a wishbone spring that enabled the user to perform extreme jumping, running and acrobatics on April 13, 2004

Each boot consists of a foot pad with snowboard type bindings, foot-plate and a fibreglass leaf spring.

Powerbocks have gradually been increasing in popularuty during his time with performance artists such as swebounce and hemoves though to people who just like to bounce around the streets of Brighton enjoying the extra bounce that Powerblocks bring.

Powerbocks are currently made by many manufactures from around the world (be warned that not all of them have rights issued by the patent holders). The main differences between the products can be found in build quality, springs, and foot bindings.
