TIPS AND TRICKS

Safety first

All users should wear a protective helmet as well as protective knee, wrist/palm and elbow pads. Never use your Powerisers without this safety gear.

Jumping with your powerisers

Be careful where you poweriser, don't use Powerisers on wet grass or slippery surfaces. Try not to step on leaves or pieces of paper, as they too maybe slippy. It is also not advisable to use your Powerisers in narrow, steeply sloped locations or on steps. Finally watch out for puddles.

Pay attention to your body condition, do not use your Powerisers if you have a fracture, bruise or muscular strain. Warming up your muceles and joints with before you begin your session will help you prevent injury to yourself. Don't overstretch yourself, keep within your capabilities and listen to your body. Stop if you begin to feel tired or experience muscular pain.

Putting on your Powerisers

Firstly sit with your legs lower than your abdomen and side by side. Then put your first leg (left or right no matter) through the leg hope and onto the foot plate. Tighten and secure the foot buckles around the foot and then do the same with the other leg. Fasten up both the knee buckles to suit. You are now ready to try and stand up!

Learning to walk

Very few beginners can stand without any help, chance are that you wont be able to stand without the help of another person or some other kind of support. Standing will be a lot easier if this is attempted from a high chair or platform. At first standing on your Powerisers will feel very strange and awkward so keep a good hold of your support until you begin to feel steady.

Your first trick?

Take your first steps using your support as you will need this to keep balance for the first few times. Walk with your feet pointing as stright forward as possible, otherwise the springs will get caught up in each other. Lifting your knees up to high might also make you fall, so be careful. Once you have gained confidence using your support you are ready to try and walk without support. Don't stray too far from your support as you will undoubtedly loose your balance a couple times and need it!. You must try and relax because if you trip when your body is stiff it will be much more difficult to regain balance. Make sure to keep your friend next to you in case of mishaps.

Usually walking somewhat comfortably without support can be achieved within 15-30 minutes, depending on the person and their balancing abilities, good luck.
